CD Projekt Red has revealed that it will patch in cross-platform mod support for The Witcher 3 as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The Patch will be released later this year, making it easier to install and use PC mods across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S using mod.io.
“Creating, sharing, and enjoying mods will be easier and more accessible, as players on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S will be able to share a modding ecosystem.” says CD Projekt Red.
When will cross-platform mod support be available for The Witcher 3?
Upload, sharing, and downloading mods via mod.io using Cross-platform mod support will be free to anyone who owns The Witcher 3.
You will need a mod.io account that’s connected to your CD Projekt Red account. You should be able to create both of these accounts from the new in-game mod menu when the patch arrives later this year.
Steam Workshop and Nexus Mods aren’t supported.
More details on a release date for this patch should be provided soon. We will keep you posted.
