Timberborn is about beavers, not bees, but that doesn’t mean the little buzzers are absent. After all, what farm would be complete without a charming beehive?
The Beehive is located in the food tab and can be unlocked for 400 science. The exact numbers aren’t clear, but what we do know is that it speeds the growth of farmland crops in a radius around it.
Timberborn Beehive
Each Beehive affects a 5x5 area around it, so strategic placement ensures that the maximum number of crops benefit from its boost. It’s not the most expensive building either, costing only;
- 10 Logs
- 15 Planks
- 20 Paper
Use the Beehive with high-yield crops like carrots, potatoes, or wheat. These crops benefit the most from the increased growth speed provided by the Beehive.
For larger fields, use multiple Beehives to cover the entire area. Ensure their influence areas overlap as little as possible to maximise coverage.
Make sure there are enough workers assigned to farming to take full advantage of the boosted growth rates. More workers will help ensure that crops are harvested and replanted quickly.
The fact that it requires zero maintenance makes it an incredible deal for every beaver—assuming you’re playing The Folktails, as this unique structure is available exclusively to their faction.
