Games Workshop is out to carve itself a niche in the digital card game space by having Everguild, creators of The Horus Heresy: Legions, unleash Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge on PC and mobile next year.
This free-to-play collectable card game (also known as CCG) will feature single-player campaigns dedicated to each established major faction, such as Imperium and Chaos. Battles are set to be fast-paced and tough.

Everguild is delighted to be putting the work lessons from its longstanding The Horus Heresy card game into a new game based in the Warhammer universe. The developer’s CEO Andres Tallos spoke at the announcement, promising innovative game modes, nail-biting gameplay, and a dedication to building a detailed, genre-defining CCG that captures everything important about the Warhammer 40K series.
The game will launch in 2023 on Steam and mobile, with cross-platform support. It’s already available to wishlist on Steam.
