The Warhammer Skulls showcase returns in 2026 for its tenth anniversary, promising a host of announcements for titles based on both the fantasy and grimdark iterations of Games Workshop’s iconic universe.
Turn-based strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 leads the charge, perhaps delivering the biggest surprise, as it is confirmed to release during the event, after being previously given a spring 2026 release window. The sequel sees the Adeptus Mechanicus continuing their search for knowledge while allowing us to also control Necron troops.

Among the more familiar names present, we have the likes of Total War: Warhammer 3 and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, both of which continue to receive new content, alongside Owlcat Games’ acclaimed RPG Rogue Trader.

The Warhammer Skulls 2026 showcase will be hosted by actor, writer, and director Alanah Pearce.
“When the Warhammer team sent me the list of games that are going to be shown in this year’s Skulls showcase I was honestly so excited! I think fans are going to be super happy with the 10 year anniversary special, and I’m honoured to be even the tiniest part of it,” Pearce said.
The Warhammer Skulls 2026 showcase celebrates Games Workshop’s universes for a whole week. In past years, this also meant a slew of in-game events and exclusive rewards for some of its featured titles.
It has come quite a long way, originally starting as a humble platform sale. We’ll see what the showcase has in store for us this year when it airs on May 21, 2026, at 5 PM BST/6 PM CEST/9 AM PT/12 PM ET, across Twitch and Youtube.
