Slicing and dicing the servants of Chaos in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is quite the power trip. Surviving against impossible odds, taking down tough bosses, and earning sweet loot makes you feel quite badass, but encountering the dreaded Backend: Error 1110 can not only steal your momentum, but also leave you without many rewards.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s Backend Error: 1110 is one that players who’ve been around since launch know all too well, sadly. It often resurfaces, acting as a major inconvenience. Here’s what we know about why it occurs and whether or not there’s a fix that can get you past it.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s Backend Error: 1110 is, in most cases, caused by issues with either Steam or the game’s servers. This, sadly, means that players are mostly out of luck when it occurs, having to wait for a fix from developer Fatshark or other service providers.
This does not bode well for the release of the <a href=”https://www.gamewatcher.com/news/warhammer-vermintide-2-chaos-wastes-release-date”</a>Chaos Wastes update</a>, as players are reporting encountering the issue more often than before. The developer is, however, aware of this and investigating.
Backend Error 1110 can pop up at various points, including when you first boot up the game, but also right as you finish a mission. The latter is arguably the most aggravating situation, since it can leave you with time wasted and no rewards for that match. There’s also no way to tell when the error might appear.
If you’re having frequent trouble with it and find that other players aren’t, it might be worth double-checking your internet connection, firewall restrictions, and verifying the game’s files.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is out now on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
