What is Freezing Temps in Phasmophobia? Most ghosts in Phasmophobia can make rooms feel cold, but only certain types will drop the temperature to freezing points, so how can you tell if it’s Evidence?
Freezing Temperatures is one of seven pieces of evidence you can record in your diary. You’ll need a Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 Thermometer to determine the exact temperature of a haunted room.
What is Freezing Temps in Phasmophobia?
The temperature in a room will always drop when a ghost is present, even if it doesn’t specifically list Freezing Temperatures as evidence. For ghosts that don’t show Freezing Temperatures, the room can drop to as low as 1°C (33°F). However, if a ghost is identified by Freezing Temperatures evidence, the temperature range is anywhere from -0 °C to −10°C (14°F).
If your thermometer reading falls below 1°C, it indicates that you are facing a ghost capable of producing Freezing Temperatures as evidence. Mark it in your Diary.
The following ghosts have Freezing Temperatures on their evidence list:
- Demon
- Hantu
- Jinn
- The Mimic
- Mori
- Oni
- Onyro
- Revenant
- Shade
- The Twins
- Yurei
It’s important to remember that relying solely on Freezing Temperatures to locate the ghost room might not always be the best strategy. Ghosts can change rooms, potentially leading to two rooms reading similar temperatures. This mobility means that temperature evidence alone may not always pinpoint the exact location of the ghost.
As of Patch 0.9.0, when the temperature drops below the ambient temperature set by the weather, the rate of temperature decrease is now one-third of its former speed. This is particularly noticeable in snowy conditions, where the colder climate will significantly slow down temperature changes. We aren’t sure how the Blood Moon Weather will affect temperature yet, but we will investigate this when the Crimson Eye Halloween Event begins on the 28th of October.
If you can see your breath, it’s a good indication, but it doesn’t always mean you have freezing temperatures, so do some science to be sure. The Airball Scare Event can trick you into thinking it’s freezing, too, so watch out for that.
Experiment and explore, see what you come across, and try not to let the fear get the best of you out there.
