Wildlight Entertainment’s free-to-play PvP hero shooter Highguard comes to PC and consoles today, but when exactly will it be live?
First featured as the closing announcement from Geoff Keighley at December’s The Game Awards, the game comes from veterans of Titanfall and Apex Legends, and looks to freshen up the online shooter space with an intriguing combination of ideas.
We’re not too far from its launch, so find out exactly when you can play Highguard today.
Highguard Launch Times: When is Highguard Out?
Wildlight Entertainment will be released on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S at 1 pm EST, according to the countdown timer on the game’s Steam page.
That means it will be available at 10 am PST, 6 pm GMT, 7 pm CET, and 5 am January 27, 2026, in Australia.
Highguard sees teams of players as Wardens, arcane gunslingers who have been sent to fight for control of a mythical continent.
In PvP action, players take part in raids where they need to gain control of the Shieldbreaker to break into and secure enemy territory.
Sounds fairly standard, right? But it’s got horseback riding and fighting too. Plus, that heritage the developers have surely gives this a better chance than most free online shooters.
The main potential stumbling block might be its use of Secure Boot Anti-Cheat systems that don’t exactly work with all PCs.
