Risk One's Neck takes the essential premise of a beat 'em up - that of walking rightwards and kicking anyone who disagrees with your inability to go left into the curb - and pumps it up into eleven by featuring a realistic, high-fidelity visual style.
Following a failed Kickstarter, Risk One's Neck hasn't been smooth sailing at all, and since there seems to be no advertisement available for the game anywhere at all, this isn't surprising, either. It is a shame, though, because Risk One's Neck is already impressively fast, smooth, and brutal - probably more so than you are expecting it to be. The gameplay trailers that are now available showcase the game quite well, even though it's not finished. If it ever does go golden, Risk One's Neck will be one of the few non-pixelated, non-stylised beat 'em up sidescrollers on the market, and common sense dictates that there's bound to be a niche for one such project. Let us hope for the best!
