Psyonix are planning on adding some brand new items to Rocket League, as well as a trade-in system for players to get rid of their duplicate items. This update to Rocket League will be arriving later this month, so you won’t need to worry any more about receiving several copies of the same item. The trade-in system allows players to trade in five duplicate uncommon or rare items at a time - this allows you get acquire one item of the next highest quality. If you trade in five uncommon items, you will receive a rare item. The same goes for rare items, if you trade in five rare items, you’ll receive a very rare item. Lots of games use a system very similar to this, including Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Team Fortress 2.

Psyonix have announced that Rocket League on Xbox One will be expanding its player-base by supporting cross-network play with the PC version today. Rocket League being a cross-network game is nothing new to PC players as the PC version of the game has always been linked to the PlayStation 4 version. Cross-network play between PC and Xbox One has never been done before, making Rocket League the first game to cross that barrier.
