Fallout 4 mod ‘Resurrection’ gives the game a grassy make-over News

Are you tired of looking at the brown and grey colour palette of Fallout 4? There’s a mod for that. Resurrection creates a blanket of green across the desolate landscapes of the Commonwealth, dressing it with grass, leaves and even flowers. The mod (which is still in beta) is intended to bring a summery feeling to Boston. It incorporates ‘wild jungle ambient sound’ for a more realistic experience and introduces new landscape and building textures. This video exhibits the Resurrection mod along with a number of others including, ‘Photorealistic Commonwealth’ and ‘Grasslands’. For more information on how to achieve the look displayed in the video, check out the description.

The name of Fallout 4’s future DLC may have been discovered by dataminers News

Reddit user/dataminer flashman7870 may have discovered the name of the next DLC in Fallout 4 – Nuka World. In the screenshot below, you can see the hex editor display the following: DLCNukaWorld.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm, DLCworkshop03.esm. Most (if not all) Bethesda games use the .esm file extension to indicate game files. Every DLC expansion (specifically for Bethesda games) purchased on Steam arrives in the form of a .esm file, so it would appear flashman7870 has found the right file.

Bethesda releasing Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4 on 19th May News

Bethesda has announced that the next DLC for Fallout 4 called Far Harbor will be releasing on 19th May for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Far Harbor is the third add-on for Fallout 4 and will cost £19.99. There's a new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency that leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. The add-on is located off the coast of Maine on a mysterious island called Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. There's going to be plenty of conflicts to deal with between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople.

Fallout 4 mod tools are in open beta, available to download now News

After six long months, Bethesda have finally given mod makers the tools they need to start customising Fallout 4 in any way they want to. In the video found at the bottom of this article, Bethesda mention that this Creation Kit program is the same tool they use to work on the game, so mod makers should rejoice that they aren’t getting a watered down experience. The Creation Kit this time around is integrated with Bethesda’s website. It looks similar to the Steam Workshop interface, but it seems to work a lot better with a controller. This will be the first Bethesda game to support mods on console, it makes sense why the developers would put so much time to make the experience of downloading mods as simple as possible.

The Walking Dead's First Season perfectly remade in Fallout 4 News

This should put a smile back on your face after that pretty appalling cliffhanger at the end of Season 6. The first season of the show has been recreated using Fallout 4 by YouTube user UpIsNotJump. Using console commands and mods made by the community and himself, UpIsNotJump has managed to perfectly replicate key scenes from the first series, with voice-overs and grotesque looking Ghouls.

Fallout 4's Survival Mode Beta launching next week on Steam News

If you've been eagerly awaiting the launch of Fallout 4's Survival Mode, you'll be pleased to know that Bethesda has confirmed on Twitter that it will be launching on Steam in beta next week. The Survival Mode is essentially a hardcore mode, which makes a few changes to the game, like only allowing you to save your progress by sleeping in a bed. If you've played a lot of Fallout 4 you'll know that it's impossible to sleep if there's danger nearby, so you'll need to deal with that danger before you can save your progress. Fast-travel has been removed, enemies won't appear on your radar, ammo has its own weight and you'll take more damage too.

If you could bring a trusted friend into your Bethesda experience to wander the wastelands or lands of Tamriel, would you? For a lot of players, this would be a dream come true. Modders have long worked to try to circumvent Bethesda systems to allow this possibility and now a new Fallout: New Vegas mod is asking for player participation in a multiplayer Beta.
