TT Games' LEGO Jurassic World will be fully assembled in mid June, announces WB Games. They've released a second trailer for the LEGO spin off of the iconic franchise, and it's full of dinos. There are "big dinos, tiny dinos, friendly dinos, angry dinos, flying dinos, battling dinos, and even goofy dinos" in the new LEGO Jurassic World, which covers all four movies.
If you thought that the toys-to-life market was going to be forever cornered by the likes of Disney Infinity and Skylanders, you might want to think again. It appears that Warner Bros, together with Lego tie-in developer Traveller's Tales have something up their digital sleeves and that we'll see it before the end of the year, too.
Warner Bros. has just published the first teaser trailer for LEGO Jurassic World from developer TT Games. It's got a glass of rippling water and a stomping T-Rex in a literally jaw-dropping 41 seconds. LEGO Jurassic World encompasses the first three Jurassic Park movies, as well as the new Jurassic World. It comes to PC and consoles this summer, with building sets out in May.
More plastic brick adventures are on the way for 2015 as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer TT Games declare the LEGO series "remains a cornerstone" of their business. What's on the way this year? LEGO Jurassic World, based off the original films and the upcoming one. There's also LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, including the Age of Ultron sequel. Lastly we have LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin.
Developer Traveller's Tales, now experts of all things LEGO, teamed up with Rock Band's Harmonix and have been hard at work infusing plastic bricks and studs with music. LEGO Rock Band, which features family-friendly tunes, will be releasing in the UK on November 27th for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS. Rock VIPS have been thoroughly Lego-ised.
The LEGO Universe MMO has been in the works for three and a half years now, with a release on PC expected for next year. The game's story centers on rebuilding. It plays in similar style to Traveller's Tales LEGO platform games, and doesn't adopt traditional RPG levelling. Players can either follow the story or build, brick by brick, their own creations.
A new trailer has been released by Traveler's Tales showing off the At World's End segment of the upcoming LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean game, being released for every platform imaginable.
September's U.S. retail video game sales have been revealed by the NPD. According to the firm, sales have declined 24% year-over-year. Console sales took the biggest hit, down 39% compared to September 2011.
Recently Funcom has been in a spot of trouble with Norwegian authorities as they were suddenly under investigation for 'financial impropriety' and even got removed from the Oslo Stock Exchange. CEO Ole Schreiner has now spoken out on the matter and said "though it was quite a dramatic event," it was soon over. The police only seized "a handful" of PCs.
Lot of leaks going around at the moment. The latest is a Toys 'R Us memo that reveals the next Jurassic Park movie will be getting a Lego game adaptation. Jurassic World's due out next Summer, which suggests that that videogame tie-in will drop around the same time. Good news for Lego fans, now let's hope they give the first film the same treatment.
