Sega of American/Europe announced this afternoon that it'll be releasing Valkyria Chronicles, formally known as Valkyria of the Battlefield: Gallian Chronicles in Japan, in Europe exclusive to the PlayStation 3. Valkyria Chronicles combines strategy elements of tactical role-playing games with real-time action sequences.
SEGA announced today that a demo for Valkyria Chronicles, featuring 2 playable levels, will be live on PlayStation Network from October 9th. Players will be able to experience for themselves a taste of the incredible CANVAS graphical engine and the exciting action strategy that Valkyria Chronicles offers before the game launches on the 14th of November.

SEGA's Valkyria Chronicles has failed to leave much of an impact last month as it shifts just over 33,000 units, Japans opening week in April saw 77,000 copies sold. This holiday has been crammed with big names like Call of Duty: World At War, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, Fable II... not much room left for charming titles.
SEGA today announced the first downloadable content for Valkyria Chronicles, a PlayStation 3 exclusive. The three new packs include Hard EX Mode, Edy's Mission "Enter the Edy Detachment", and Selvaria's Mission "Behind Her Blue Flame". Each of the three new packs will supply players with a brand new experience that will keep them wanting more.

Publisher Sega was rather to the point with their latest announcement for Valkyria Chronicles, they had news on some new DLC, and it's called 'Challenges from Team Edy'. It's for PS3, due in winter 2010 and will "test your strategy skills" with all new missions. That's it, that's all Sega are spilling on the matter. It's out next year so plenty of time to dish.
SEGA Europe has announced that new downloadable content for Valkyria Chronicles will be available on PlayStation Store on 25th February 2010. The new content, "Challenges of the Edy Detachment," will contain six new maps to play through, with each map designed for the different soldier classes within Edy’s team. Whether you’re a Scout, Lancer or Shocktrooper, you’ll be able to use the skills of each class to fight your way through various battles.
Sega recently register a domain name for Valkyria Chronicles III under the url of "valkyria3.jp". The first game in the series was released as an exclusive to the PlayStation 3, but Sega decided to release the second game as an exclusive to the PSP, which is launching next Friday in the UK. Sega might only be making sure the domain name doesn't fall into someone else's hands, but it's possible that we could be looking at a third Valkyria Chronicles, and perhaps it'll be for the PlayStation 3 as well.
Sega may have just launched a teaser site for Valkyria Chronicles 3, although we can't be 100% that what it's for. It has September 16th on it. That date is the start of 2010's Tokyo Game Show meaning the site 'will open' for business the first day of the event. Code 1935 it's called.

It's amazing what going from .gif to .jpg will do for you. This 'hidden' line-up clearly has Valkyria Chronicles 3, as well as Phantasy Star Portable 2?
