When will apocalyptic multiplayer RPG Fallout 76 get native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions? GameWatcher heads to Appalachia to find out.
Fallout 76 famously recovered from a rocky start in 2018 to become a solid performer as an online spinoff of the hit mainline Fallout series.
It puts players in the jumpsuit of a Vault 76 resident, which is situated in the heart of Appalachia. From there, players can build a life of sorts in the irradiated overworld, meeting all manner of weirdos and mutants.
While it’s been steadily getting better over the years, the last-gen hardware can only do so much, and the next-gen boost playing that last-gen version on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is basically duct tape on a pipe.
Long story short, Fallout 76 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S has been in demand. So where is it? When is it?
