I've always liked this serie and I can't forget the first one. I think this one is the most well done of all the sequels. Graphic is very well realized, the game follows the guidelines of the others. AI is balanced with the game. Try it, it's surely a nice experience
It's the beautyful CIV3 made simplier and with good working multiplayer! The research tree is less complicated as it is the whole game (units don't have an ATTACK and DEFENSE value, but only a POWER value).
There are many new features, like unit's promotions and unique buildings for each civ.
The AI is well balanced and reacts realistically to your actions.
Musics and sounds are very well chosen. Moreover every aspect of the game is fully customizable and the game itself is modder friendly.
Graphic is irrelevant.
Let's face it, a Civ game is a Civ game, and no mistake about it. However, this most recent addition to the Civilization family certainly does a lot to make it that much more attractive.
If you're a fan of Civilization, then chances are that you're wondering how this game might be different. The biggest single change in making the game easier, and shorter, is the automation of your worker units. No longer do you have to micromanage every single one of them. Now you can tell them to do things like "build roads joining my cities" or "build improvements around the nearest city", and they'll automatically choose the best way to do that. Forever! The only time you need to tell them what to do is if you specifically need something different done. It means that a game that took half a day to play in Civilization III, now may only take a couple of hours to play in Civ IV. That's a huge difference. You can also automate other units to auto-explore, another significant improvement. They don't always go the way that you'd like, but it gets the job done.
There are other new improvements in the game. The graphics, for example, are just gorgeous with beautiful rendering of units and cities. You get some lovely cut scenes whenever a wonder is constructed. It's no longer possible for a spearman to kill a tank - though he can wound it somewhat. All things that just make the game shine that much brighter, and really pull you what has to be one of the biggest time sinks known to man.
When you play Civilization, you just have to play one more turn. Again, and again, and again. Next thing you know you've been up nearly all night trying to conquer the world. It's an addiction you almost have to physically set aside, it's just that enthralling. Previous Civ games have been like that, and this new version ups the ante even more.
CIV IV is a succesful game because it makes you stay in front of the pc until you realise that many hours have passed . :)
No, really is a great game ,is attractive and more than that is an intelligent game that makes you yhink how your adversar will act in the future. I think is a great game.
