Second trailer for Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition

The upcoming Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition has just received another trailer from Capcom. It boasts the "largest roster of playable characters" ever in the series, with three other characters joining Nero and Dante's return.

Vergil, Trish and Lady each have their own distinct playstyles in the Special Edition. This new trailer features gameplay of all five in action. This re-release is out by the end of next month.

Capcom revealed that Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition was on the way to next-gen consoles in December last year, but they were pretty coy on the details.

Some fresh information has now surfaced courtesy of Japanese gaming blog Esuteru (thanks, NeoGAF), suggesting that a PC version is on the way this June, and revealing three new playable characters.

Capcom revises down DmC: Devil May Cry sales by 800k

The initial target for sales had been 2 million units for Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry by the end of this fiscal year for Capcom, but that looks most unlikely as the publisher drops it to 1.2 million.

So far around one million has been shipped. Despite receiving a top spot in charts, DmC has failed to at least match sales figures for Devil May Cry 4 at launch, achieving just a third in the UK.

Platinum: "Enormous amount" of people 'don't guarantee a good game'

Bayonetta's Hideki Kamiya from Platinum Games has said how big teams working a project don't mean things will turn out great. He cited the big number of devs on Capcom's Devil May Cry 4.

"Didn't help them, did it?" said Kamiya-san. The Platinum co-founder previously worked at Capcom on some of their big franchises like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe.
