Or specifically, that 72% played a game. Played a game? Well now, that means 72% of people are just so lucky, aren’t they?
No, really, we know that it’s anyone who’s had an internet connection has played an internet game, whether they know it or not. Then again, if 72% know it, that means over 200 million Americans admit to having played some videogame in one way or another.
That’s pretty astounding in terms of numbers, especially considering that top notch games sell only a couple million copies, and rarely get to the tens of millions, if ever. Don’t go and buy beers because of it, but just know that next time you talk to someone who claims they’ve never played a game and that all games are evil or something like that, just know that there’s a 28% chance that they’re telling the truth.
