Bungie plans to do a reset of Halo: Reach’s point system come launch.
Between illegal downloads, and the inevitable leaks from retail chains, Bungie reckons that a fair few people now have the game earlier than they would like.
To counter this, any points earned online before the official release date, as well as items unlocked, will be wiped come next Tuesday.
”Don’t get too attached to any fancy new gear you might have already acquired. Consider any expenditures or investments you’ve made in the Armory the cost of doing business early. It’s nothing personal; we just want to make sure the playing field is kept nice and level upon launch. It’s only fair,” said Bungie’s Eric Osbourne
Halo: Reach will be getting a worldwide simultaneous launch on Tuesday 14th September.
