Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD was released on the 27th December on PlayStation Network and it seems the Xbox classic may be headed to Xbox Live Arcade, if Microsoft will bend the rules on size limitations on XBLA titles.
According to developer Just Add Water, the game’s 2.1GB size is a mere .1 GB over the file size limit, and the developer has been negotiating with Microsoft on allowing it to have an exception.
”We’ve basically run everything dry in terms of going some kind of first-party route with Microsoft, be it them publishing it or be it us publishing it ourselves. So we’re now having to go down the third-party route,” stated CEO Stewart Gilray in an interview with VG247.
The developer is also negotiating with “two or three” publishers, with the idea of having an announcement by Easter.
Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD earned a 9.0/10 score for the PlayStation Network version by Strategy Informer. Check out the review here.
