Sony has announced Foosball 2012, a game based on the popular soccer-based table game. The game would make use of the PlayStation Move controller and feature crossplatform play with the Sony PlayStation Vita handheld console system.
The publisher promises ”lots of features and game modes”, including various styles of tables such as American style, European style, and so on. The game will also include various ball types and trick shots.
One of the game modes is a World Tour single-player mode which allows the player to globe trot around the world playing various AI opponents in nearly 30 locations. The game also features multiplayer modes that support up to four players, as well as online leaderboards.
Finally, the game features full synchronization with the PlayStation Vita, including shared save data, as well as crossplatform play where players on the PS3 can compete with or against players on the Vita. Players who purchase the game on PSN will be allowed to freely download it to both devices.
