The upcoming Tomb Raider reboot will be enjoying a worldwide release, as announced by Crystal Dynamic on the game’s official site. If that weren’t enough, development has hit a milestone, as the game has reached alpha status.
The latter news was revealed by the developer’s official podcast, Crystal Habit. According to senior producer Kyle Peschel and art director Brian Horto, all of the actual content has been finished, and the next job for the devs are to work on removing bugs and making the core game mechanics run smoothly.
The developer is aiming for a 2012 release date for Tomb Raider, to be launched on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms.
