One of the most successful and popular indie games of the past few years, AudioSurf, will be getting a sequel, as creator Dylan Fitterer has launched a new website for AudioSurf Air.
For the uninitiated, AudioSurf is an action-puzzle title in which the game uses song data to create a single player racetrack with blocks that must be collected in some game modes, or avoided in others - as the song plays. The track is formed by the song’s own tempo, pitch and other factors, so every song creates its own unique track. In this way, the track is in time with the song.
Gamers interested in beta testing AudioSurf Air can register at the official site here. There is no set release date, save a general 2012 window.
