In an 11-minute HD video update we get to see just what Portalarium Inc. has been up to as they cover travelling, exploration in towns and dungeons, crafting, dialogue and more.
The footage is of a fully functioning prototype they have of the game, which hit a significant milestone Jul 6th as they demoed it at RTX 2013.
They ask us to remember that the RPG is still ”very, very early” in development and so all the visuals and effects are meagre at best - it’s all still in the ”embryonic phase.” Lord British himself narrates the HD demo, covering:
◾Overland travel
◾Exploring Towns
◾Exploring Dungeons
◾Harvesting Resources
◾Crafting & Recipes
◾Inventory Bags
◾Character Paperdoll
◾Decorating Your House (a Knight’s Keep)
◾Full Sentence Conversations
◾Rudimentary Combat
”For the sake of brevity, travel shortcuts were used to expedite movement from area to area,” they say.
