Portland-based cartographer Cameron Booth was reportedly outraged when he was told that Naughty Dog had illegally used his Boston subway system map in The Last of Us. The map was Booth’s copyright.
Booth later wrote on his blog, “I can say that they do acknowledge their error in using my map and were very apologetic for it.”
This isn’t the first time Naughty Dog got in trouble for using unauthorized images in The Last of Us. Earlier in the day, the developer was accused by Ellen Page of stealing her image for the game.
”I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness. But I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond: Two Souls, so it was not appreciated,” Page stated in a Reddit AMA.
