A new trailer confirms Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will indeed star everyone’s favourite burly purveyor of handcannons, Barry Burton.
An ESRB listing for the game hinted that Barry would be making an appearance as a playable character, and the new gameplay footage appears to suggest that that’s the case.
Barry’s daughter Moria Burton has already been officially confirmed as a lead character, and Barry’s presumably on a mission to rescue her from all manner of undead critters. I could have sworn he got thrown off a cliff back in the original game, but apparently my mind’s playing trick on me. He does in fact remain subject to the increasingly deranged horror of the Resident Evil backstory.
Famitsu (via Siliconera) leaks also reveal that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be out in Japan on February 18, though there’s no mention of any international dates for the horror game, which is coming to PC and consoles.
