They’d like both core fans and newcomers for their playtest. The survey itself curiously asks about the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer experience. Inquisition is due Q4 2014.
There has been no official word on whether BioWare are doing something with multiplayer for Dragon Age: Inquisition or not, since it hasn’t featured yet in the series.
That being said, the multiplayer component in Mass Effect 3 genuinely surprised many with how good it proved to be, with many sceptical at first and even concerned it was going to dilute or subvert the single-player game. It’s also not that difficult to imagine a multiplayer in the style of Mass Effect 3’s either.
For now though it seems restricted to just a question on a survey, which also asks participants what they think of previous Dragon Age and Mass Effect titles, so it’s entirely possible that Casey Hudson’s new Mass Effect team just sneaked that multiplayer question in.
Dragon Age: Inquisition releases on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4 in Q4 2014. BioWare has revealed they have been working on new developer diaries, and they’ll air soon hopefully. The studio is also continuing to invite more into its Dragon Age Keep beta test, which serves to ‘import’ world states for Inquisition.
