"issue with packaging" the PC retail version of Dark Souls 2 in the UK will not be available April 25th, unlike its digital counterpart. Namco Bandai confirmed the situation after reports of date changes.
They also state that this is an issue affecting the UK only and everyone else will get their boxed retail copies on time. May 2nd is the new UK street date for PC Dark Souls 2.
However the digital releases will go ahead for April 25th given they have none of that packaging nonsense to worry about. Do many still buy physical PC copies anymore?
“This is only affecting the UK on the boxed release of the game,” a Namco representative told .
“It will be delayed unfortunately and we apologize to UK customers. This is due to a manufacturing issue with packaging. To confirm, this will only affect the UK boxed launch.”
Dark Souls 2 released on Xbox 360 and PS4 in March, and now finally on PC April 25th globally.
