You know what World of Tanks could really do with? More tanks. There’s only around five million in the game already, which is such a paltry number. Developer Wargaming clearly agrees with me, which is why players will soon be able to get their hands on 10 new British vehicles in Update 9.5.
The new roster consists of light tanks, mediums and tank destroyers, and contains such famous lumbering metal coffins as the Sherman Firefly and Achilles Tank Destroyer. There’s a new vehicle for each tier from II to X.
You can check out the full list of new rides here. For maximum destruction, check out the cannon on the Tier X unlockable FV4005 Stage 2 tank destroyer. Phew. It’s not all for the Brits, though, Update 9.5 also gives Germany a new Tier VIII Premium medium tank, the Panther mit 8,8 cm L/71.
There’s also three new maps on which to test out your new ride. Here’s Wargaming’s descriptions of each; “Ghost Town, a map with a symmetrical layout which will be available in Team Battles; the ruined settlement of Mittengard, which will be available only in low tier battles; and Winterberg, a snowy version of Ruinberg, which will replace the map Ruinberg on Fire.”
That should keep you busy for the time being, but there’s more on the way. Beginning on January 15, players will be able to take part in new Personal Missions. An alternative to the current Mission system, players will be able to the select an objective they want to complete, and play without worrying about a time limit. Completing these objectives will earn various rewards, including “unique high-tier vehicles, medals and female crew members.”
Those Personal Missions aside, Update 9.5 is available now. For the full patch notes, head here.
