Soulbound is an action-adventure game that is being developed by a small team based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands called Too Many Developers.
In the game you play as a Beastmaster, an explorer who ventures to places that other people dare not. By taming monsters you encounter on your travels, you can use their power and skills to defeat any opponents that you run into along the way. The game takes place in the abandoned city of Caladan, which was once a city filled with light, but has since turned into a dark abyss.
The developers note that the key to survival in the game is determined by how you make use of the monsters you’ve tamed, as the Beastmaster you’re playing as is very weak, so you’ll want to make sure you’ve got a good set of monsters around you. You’ll be able to take control of up to four monsters at a time.
Soulbound is currently in the alpha stage of development and can be downloaded for free on Strategy Informer, although Too Many Developers hope to have the final version ready for release sometime in February on Steam, Mac, Linux and Windows.
