If you want to try out auteur developer Swery65’s deeply odd adventure serial D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die, you can do so now on PC with the release of a free demo.
It’s roughly 2.5GB of the game’s signature surreal weirdness, and should let you get a feel for how the originally Kinect-controlled game handles with a mouse and keyboard.
“The specs for the game are a little high, so please download the demo and see if it will run on your computer,” warns D4’s Steam page. You can find the admittedly rather intensive system specs here.
Original development studio Access Games, who are handling the PC port with the help of Swery65 himself, has also released a list of the DLC and other bits and pieces that PC players will get, depending on which version of the game they plump for.
For $14.99 you can get the base game, while the Deluxe Edition will set you back $29.99 and contains the following, all of which are also sold separately:
