Brian Fargo and his studio inXile Entertainment will be going live with their Kickstarter campaign tomorrow - June 2nd - for The Bard’s Tale IV. It’s a return to the classic RPG series and its entire dungeon-crawling heritage.
To sweeten the pot, inXile will be throwing in a free copy of Wasteland 2 should anyone pledge $20 or more. If you don’t want a slice of post-apocalyptic CRPG then you can choose The Witcher or The Witcher 2.
”This is our way to show our gratitude to those who continue to support us,” said Brian Fargo. ”We’re also very happy to be working with our friends at CD Projekt, who have shown they understand the right way to treat your fans!”
The Kickstarter begins on the 30th anniversary of The Bard’s Tale. There’s an extra extra treat for those who choose a copy of Wasteland 2 because this summer it’s upgraded free-of-charge to the Game of the Year Edition, which includes a treasure trove of enhancements.
