Normally the release of a CG trailer for a new video game wouldn’t raise many eyebrows, but Blizzard tends to a) have a particularly rabid fanbase, and b) actually pump some real cash and effort into their grandiose cinematics.
The studio has announced that the world premiere of the cinematic for Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void will take place on September 13, at 7PM CEST. The game’s release date will also be revealed.
If CG trailers aren’t really your thing, don’t worry. Starcraft 2’s executive producer Chris Sigaty and lead designer Jason Huck will also be on hand at the event to demo new content and mechanics from Legacy of the Void. Head over to the game’s official Twitch channel on the 13th to watch the show.
Standalone expansion Legacy of the Void is of course the final chapter in the Starcraft 2 trilogy, casting you as the psionic alien Protoss, who must struggle to unite the three core races in an attempt to survive an ancient evil.
