Bioware is offering fans the chance to download all ten of Dragon Age: Inquisition’s tavern songs for free. Those are the tunes that play in the bar at your fortress stronghold of Skyhold.
If you’re interested you’ve got two weeks to head to the Dragon Age website and snap up the free tracks. After the allotted time period runs down, they’ll go up for sale on various digital platforms.
“We’ve received many inquiries from our fans asking where they can get these songs,” Bioware writes, “and we’re thrilled that you’re enjoying them as much as we do. As our way of saying thank you for being the awesome community that you are, we’re excited to announce that for the next two weeks, you can download these songs from a desktop computer free of charge!”
The tracks were all composed by Raney Shockne, with the exception of “I Am The One”, which was composed by Inon Zur. Personally, I don’t know if I can ever listen to “Sera Was Never” (above) again. It’s the most infuriatingly catchy bit of in-game music in recent memory.
Budding musicians will also be pleased to note that Bioware has also provided sheet music for each of the ten tracks. Expect a flood of cover versions to hit Youtube before the week is out, especially with Bioware also holding a Fan Celebration Contest encouraging their community to send in art, music and other creative bits and pieces.
