The real, no doubt about it, honest-to-god final piece of free DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will drop shortly, and it’s not a new quest or a new piece of clothing, but rather an excuse to go back and play the whole damn thing again.
Yes, CD Projekt is cooking up a New Game+ mode, and though there are few details revealed just yet, we all know how these things work; you’ll presumably be able to start the story all over again, while keeping all of Geralt’s skills, talents and equipment.
”New Game+, the final DLC, is on the way and, of course, it’s completely FREE!” writes the developer on the game’s Facebook page. ”Stay tuned for more info regarding the release. It won’t happen this week though—we need a little bit more time to finish it.”
While I don’t think my mind or body could take another hundred or so hours of The Witcher 3 (despite the fact I loved the game), I’m certainly intrigued to see how CD Projekt will handle the mode. We’ll have all the details as soon as they’re revealed.
