It’s not been a good time for superhero games on PC. First, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance was a terrible, broken mess. Then it seemed that Telltale’s Batman series might be plagued with issues of its own. Well, just as the former got addressed, it looks like Telltale is taking care of their problems as well.
Telltale suggests most of the problems are the result of the game running on integrated graphics chips rather than dedicated hardware, or outdated drivers. The patch ensures that the game will default to dedicated graphics cards and adds a toggle between high performance textures or high quality textures.
Bugs or no, the first episode still impressed us! Read our Telltale Batman Episode 1 review!
This is via an official Steam update, in which the company adds. ”We thank you for your patience. We will continue to investigate any performance reports as they appear, and will update here accordingly.”
Some of those additional bugs include game breakers, as reported by our own reviewer, who hit a save-busting crash halfway through the episode. Hopefully these issues will be resolved before the series progresses any further.
