Capcom have announced plans to release three major unannounced games before the end of the financial year (April 2017).
Yesterday we reported on Resident Evil 7 potentially arriving before April 2017, now that rumour is starting to seem far more likely. In a presentation conducted by Capcom yesterday, the company announced three major titles they expect to sell over two million copies. One of them is listed as being a Monster Hunter title, but the other two are only listed as ‘MajorTitle’.
The only predictions we can make are based off the sale targets for the unannounced games. ‘MajorTitle 1’ is expected to sell four million copies, ‘MajorTitle 2’ is expected to sell half of that with two million copies. The Devil May Cry reboot (DmC) had sale expectations of two million copies back in 2012, perhaps MajorTitle 2 could be a new Devil May Cry game?
Resident Evil 6 had a sales target of seven million, significantly more than what was expected of MajorTitle 1. There is a chance the sales target of Resident Evil 7 could’ve been lessened due to Resident Evil 6 selling just under five and a half million copies. With E3 right around the corner, we shouldn’t have to wait too long to find out exactly what these titles are.
Personally, I want a real sequel to Devil May Cry 4 developed by PlatinumGames (I can dream, can’t I?). What are you hoping Capcom releases? Let us know in the comment section below.
