Team17 and Skybound Entertainment announced today that it’s going to release a free content update for the Survival Mode in The Escapists: The Walking Dead, which will be available for both the PC and Xbox One today.
The Survival Mode update sees you taking control of different characters from The Walking Dead universe, such as Tyreese, Abraham, Michonne, Rick, Carl and Glenn, with the task of trying to survival for as long as possible on new maps set in Meriwether, Alexandria and Woodbury.
The update also includes new weapons and craftables, such as the mini gun, sniper rifle and revolver, which you can use against a herd of walkers, grunts and legends.

If you’re a Skybound Insider member, you will also receive additional content that allows you to play as walker versions of Abraham, Michonne and Tyreese, although that’s currently exclusively for the PC and won’t be available for the Xbox One. You can sign-up for the Insider content here, which also unlocks a Stun Gun weapon.
