Being a little too large for their chair, the next phase of the fight proves a ever-so-slightly more difficult as the inflicted abuse to Friede is consistently interrupted by Ariandel's combustible chalice.
Either way, it proves a little patience can go a long way. Don't waste your time on boxing lessons. There's only one move you need to know to beat down a demon should hell open up.
