Mythic "assure" fans they're committed, cuts won't hurt WAR MMO

Giant EA has been on a crusade of late as they trim stafffers from the payroll, with 1,500 jobs in their sights to go by March 31st next year.

Developer Mythic has issued a letter to fans where they ”reinforce” their dedication to their games and players. Warhammer Online is safe.

That’s the general gist of the letter Jeff Hickman posted, he’s a Mythic Executive Producer. It was posted up on the Warhammer Online Herald, reports VG247.

”With all that is going on within Mythic Entertainment and EA, I would like to take a moment to reinforce the studio’s dedication to both our games and our players. At Mythic, we remain committed to our games and the passionate people who play them – we’re going to continue to deliver the content and service that keeps you playing,” he wrote.

”We want to assure our community that we will maintain the same high level of customer support you’ve come to expect and continue to improve our games with an exciting schedule of patches, live events and new content.”

A number of studios have been hit according to rumours, but there’s been no solid confirmation yet. Supposedly once Command & Conquer 4 is released, the dev team behind it is gone. Even Dead Space’s Visceral Games are taking job losses.
