Choose from Allies, Axis or Japanese aircraft with online multiplayer featuring ”massive” dogfights and co-op missions. Gaijin is no stranger to the skies.
Their previous airborne entries include World of Planes, Apache Air Assault, Wings of Luftwaffe and Wings of Prey. The studio is after first-person shooter fans with Birds of Steel as they ”aim to bring the seat-of-their-pants skill and daring of dogfighting and aerial combat to a wider audience”, read the press release.
”Birds of Steel pushes the throttle of realism by giving fans what they’ve been missing when it comes to co-operative online gameplay, incredibly realistic visuals and game dynamics, while spanning the entirety of the war’s air campaigns.”
Birds of Steel releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 in early 2012.
