E3 2012: Microsoft rumored to debut app to stream 360 game content ...

A new rumor has started to circulate that Microsoft will be launching an app for tablets and mobile called the Xbox Live Companion that will stream additional content in collaboration with a game running on the Xbox 360 via WiFi.

While the app will work for all Xbox Live users, Gold subscribers will get additional “enhanced features”.

Microsoft’s E3 2012 press conference will be launching in just over two hours, so this rumor of an OnLive-style app will be confirmed or refuted soon enough.
