E3 2012: Expo is making a note here, "Huge success", may not be in LA in '13

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has revealed that over 45,700 people attended E3 2012 in the past 3 days. The group also states that the convention generated almost $40M for its host city, Los Angeles, CA.

However, ESA’s report has curious timing, as the group also states that if the construction at the show’s traditional site, the Los Angeles Convention Center is not resolved by next year’s show, the group will have to find a new place to hold it. The concern was over a proposed construction of a football stadium where the LACC West Hall currently resides.

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, the ESA is deciding between replacement cities such as San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and New Orleans.

Only twice in the history of the convention’s 18 years as it not been held in Los Angeles.
