In the past, Taro has answered a variety of questions with sarcasm, humor or incredible short, snarky remarks between thanking everyone for their kind words. Though he's never directly mentioned the NieR: Automata budget in the past, he's answered questions surrounding DLC plans by stating how the budget wouldn't stretch to robust story-related DLC offerings and asking the fans to bombard Square Enix with promises to buy the DLC should they ever invest further into its development. After reaching a sales milestone of this calibre, however, we can hope Square Enix will look at the figures and good press and re-invest some of that cash into some solid DLC plans with a bolstered NieR: Automata budget. We can all dream. Still need to add your copy to the increased sales figures? Pick one up from Green Man Gaming.
