Neo Tokyo Returns In Tomorrow's Rocket League v.1.34 Update

Rather than appear out of nowhere, the next major Rocket League update has a plan. It's coming out tomorrow, and you should all be excited! Why, though? Isn't it going to be the same as most other patches? A map or two, a new game mode, new cars etc? Pretty much, actually! Only there's no new mode this time.

But that doesn't mean its void of content, of course. Far from it - especially if you're a fan of loot crates. Returning in tomorrow's patch 1.34 update is Neo Tokyo after being vacant from the game for more than a few updates. Apparently hearing fan feedback after pulling the controversial map, Neo Tokyo has been redesigned to remove the somewhat problematic ramps either side of its goal while maintaining its 'futuristic metropolis look'. The older version returns, too - but as the renamed Tokyo Underpass. The fixed up version will be available in all modes, whereas the 'classic' has budged the regular 'Underpass' out of the Private rotation.

Who wants a new car? You're not expected to shell out a buck or two for this one, but the Mantis his hidden inside the brand-new 'Nitro Crate' lootbox. Taking inspiration from the Batmobile introduced in last year's DLC, the Mantis ride is a fully customizable version with a slightly altered look. The chassis stats, however, remain the same. Arrowhead, Battleworn. Kaze, Maxx, Roaster and Upraor decals are available through the boxes, too. alongside a few new trails and other customizations.
