We're all being spoiled for choice with shooters this weekend. Adding the the list of free shooter experiences that would usually cost full price, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare goes free-to-play this weekend. So that means if you have the time, bandwidth and potentially a lack of respect for yourself, you can download the latest Call of Duty title for the controversially justified price of absolutely nothing.

You don't get to keep it - obviously - but you'll be given a whole weekend of multiplayer experiences to potentially ease you into the full game. A game that, should you pick up the more expensive Legacy edition, grants access to the HD remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. That piece of marketing could be the only reason to pick up the bundle this weekend - unless Activision caves and offers it separately. Which they really should.

In terms of limitations over the course of the free weekend - there aren't, really. All the pre-DLC maps are available with no cap on what level you can achieve. There's no zombie mode, though. That's special to them. You have to pay for that. Progress will be carried over into the main game should you suddenly decide you want access to some of that space pie. And running at 50% off for the next few days, the £20 price tag isn't that bad for a game that's still fairly new. You could buy the whole collection for about £600, though. Think about it.
