Not a day goes by that Paradox Interactive have nothing to show of their tightening grip on the industry. Hearts of Iron IV is getting another new expansion later this year. A free update for the current game will arrive alongside it.

But this isn't meant to represent current affairs. It's back to the mid-90's for this one with the powers of the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany playing a major role in its events. Introducing new 'National Focus' trees for Romania, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia they'll have to carefully navigate the delicate balance of power present during World War II. It's a full-scale offensive for Paradox's plans to represent every nation present during one of the bloodiest wars in history. The coinciding free update will bring revamped aerial gameplay, new map designs and artwork, 'equipment conversion' and three bonus musical tracks amongst a few other tweaks and changes. Hopefully we'll hear more in the coming weeks.
