Disney and EA Supervision Behind Lack Of Star Wars

A constant criticism against Star Wars Battlefront II has been the lack of updates and communication by the team behind it. We've previously talked about Design Director Dennis Brännvall, which does a fantastic job of keeping the player community engaged and interested in the game.

Last night, a few Twitter users were talking about how Disney constantly has to authorise any and all communication regarding the Star Wars branch, and blamed that oversight as the reason behind Battlefront II's weird silence. Brännvall joined in the conversation, claiming the "criticism is fair" and that "the studio and company has a lot to learn."

Further down, after being thanked by multiple users for being the one person to talk to fans in a direct and sincere manner, Brännvall elaborated:

Some probably think I say too much. According to the community we don't communicate nearly enough. There's a disconnect obviously and we'll work to change that.

While Disney keeping close watch of such a valuable property is undoubtedly sensible, this course of action should be reconsidered when its singular grip ends up hurting your brand more than helping it. For what its worth, I recommend to just keep Dennis around, and let him talk all the time. He's golden.
