Initially revealed in 2023, Clockwork Revolution went for several years without a release date. While that still technically hasn’t changed, publisher Xbox Game Studios confirmed in June 2026 that the RPG is now aiming for a 2027 release window.

Clockwork Revolution Gameplay
Played from a first-person perspective, Clockwork Revolution differentiates itself from its peers through the inclusion of time manipulation powers, courtesy of a device called the Chronometer.
Able to travel back in time, we can influence the past before returning to the present and experiencing the effects of our decisions, which is bound to have some interesting results when the fates of different characters are involved.
Clockwork Revolution features a fully customizable protagonist who wields an array of powers and ranged weaponry when battling fleshy foes, lethal machinery, and towering automatons.
Although controlling time is bound to steal all the attention, hacking hostile robots and crafting steampunk weapons and gadgets can be just as handy.
Powers like Displace, which lets Morgan “instantly reposition certain objects” also offer new tactical possibilities by opening paths to objectives or removing groups of foes with skillfully thrown explosive barrels.
Clockwork Revolution Story
Set in the “vibrant steam-powered metropolis” of Avalon, a place created through the power of time travel and the alteration of historical events, Clockwork Revolution’s story follows protagonist Morgan Vanette and their flying automaton guide, Prentice.
The duo meets a colorful cast of characters, each with their own stories and views on life, while engaging in more or less illicit activities. Gangs like Morgan’s Rotten Row Hooligans are a common sight throughout Avalon, vital to surviving and challenging the ruthless Lady Ironwood’s rule.
