Paradox Interactive went into 2010 as a fairly niche company focusing their efforts on Grand Strategy games that captivated all but the most experiences armchair generals. Fast-forward to 2017, however, and you'll see a publicly traded powerhouse that's buying up every strategy studio it can find. And it's working.
It takes a large group effort to patch and balance a strategy title like Age of Wonders III, and after a collective amount of 10s of millions of hours, the v1.705 patch is primed and ready to go.
Age of Wonders 3 was anfor the series when it launched back on 31st March, 2014, adding more creativity into the 4X strategy mold with strategic battles and the challenge of a new hostile world. The two expansion packs - and – helped add to a game that wasn't short of content.
That content is no doubt what helped move Age of Wonders 3 into sales of over 500k copies, with the expansion packs close to that number as well, as revealed by Triumph Studios.
