Publisher and developer Keen Games today announced that Enshrouded’s 1.0 update has locked in its release date to October 15, 2026, when it finally arrives on PC and PS5.
Enshrouded’s 1.0 update will release on Xbox Series X/S later, in spring 2027, due to a mixture of technical demands and the developer aiming not to sacrifice any of the milestone update’s quality on Microsoft’s current-gen consoles.

“As we approached launch, we decided that achieving the level of quality and performance we expect on Xbox would require additional time,” said Jan Jöckel, CEO of Keen Games.
“We never want to rush a platform release or compromise on quality. Development of the Xbox version is progressing steadily, and we’re planning to bring Enshrouded to Xbox players in spring 2027. Players can look forward to learning much more about Enshrouded 1.0 this summer.”
Enshrouded’s 1.0 version is set to release after the survival game spent more than two years in early access.
During that time, it received a total of eight major updates that significantly expanded its available content.
Three new biomes, each with its own set of fresh monsters, alongside new weapons, armors, materials, decorations, and more, have been added since its initial launch in January 2024.
Over five million players explored the continent of Embervale, venturing through areas covered in deadly fog, fighting challenging foes, crafting gear, and constructing a variety of wonders using Enshrouded’s flexible building system.
Keen Games aims to continue supporting its action-RPG-infused survival game “for years to come,” so there should be plenty more to look forward to after Enshrouded’s full version releases.
Specific details about Enshrouded’s 1.0 update will be shared later this summer. With this announcement, the already-busy month of October just got a bit busier, as Enshrouded’s full version drops a bit over a month before Grand Theft Auto 6 threatens to eat up everyone’s free time.
