The Chinese Room is primarily known for highly atmospheric first-person exploration games like Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. If you’re a jerk, you might call them walking simulator specialists. Even their take on horror, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs was focused more on atmosphere than traditional game mechanics. So it’s with some surprise that we’ve learned they’re now working on an RPG heavily inspired by pen-and-paper gaming.

Various news outlets have announced that The Chinese Room's exploration adventure game Everybody's Gone to the Rapture has been officially confirmed for PC, according to a letter sent to them. The PC port will evidently be running on the CryEngine engine, so there's a good chance it'll be more detailed than the PlayStation original.
